There are more than 85 million mothers in the United States—yet, we’ve all felt alone at some point in our motherhood journey. Recently, the Surgeon General announced a warning: parents are too stressed out.

You’ve probably felt the weight of juggling your career, your family, and your mental health, often without the support you need.

Kat’s story is one many can relate to.

Kat, a powerhouse attorney and mom to 1-year-old twins, turned her struggles into strength, thanks to her local Chamber of Mothers Philly chapter. And, like a lot of us, her journey to motherhood was anything but smooth.

After experiencing back-to-back miscarriages, Kat found herself in the difficult position of navigating her rights at work with male superiors who simply didn’t get it. Even as a lawyer, she felt isolated, unsure of how to advocate for herself in a system that wasn’t built for her.

“It was really difficult trying to get my male boss to understand how being at the office at 7 a.m. was nearly impossible while I was experiencing severe morning sickness or why I had to be on 48-hour bed rest.”

That’s when Kat discovered our Philly chapter—a safe space where mothers come together to share experiences, find resources, and take action. For Kat, this community was a game changer.

She found other moms who understood her struggles without judgment, and for the first time, she felt empowered to actually do something about the issues she was facing.

“Chamber of Mothers is a place where you can get involved and not feel like you’re just a passive victim things are happening to. You can be a part of the team making changes and that’s a good feeling.”

Our local chapters aren’t just meetings—they’re movements. It’s a place to come together to share our stories, devise solutions, and demand the change we deserve. In a society that often judges our every move as mothers, these spaces allow us to be seen, heard, and supported. Because navigating your rights as a mother shouldn’t👏 be👏 this👏 hard👏.
